Payton singing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star"-- 22 months old

Payton's recent fascination with her Mother Goose book is most entertaining. She loves for me to sing the little songs with her (the ones I don't know a melody for, we just make up!). For most of the songs, I do little motions to help her learn them. "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star", "Eensy Weensy Spider", and "Old King Cole" are her favorites. I got lucky and got her to sing "Twinkle" on video!!!! (You'll have to ignore my baby-talk prompting!)

It's a GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

10 fingers, 10 toes, very healthy!!! Robb and I are both so excited!

Believe it or not, it snowed in Florida on Saturday night! Okay, fake snow, but fun all the same! We took Payton to CityPlace (a big outdoor shopping/restaurant place) for the tree lighting and snowfal...pretty realistic! She really enjoyed it!

On our way to the restaurant, Payton saw this bronze statue...just couldn't understand why he wouldn't talk back to her!

Back at home, Mommy's shoes are a great distraction!

Sunday after church...

We joined good friends for a delicious dinner. This is Payton with her best buddy, Zachary Heath. These two are SO funny together, and love each other dearly!

Random pictures fromt the weekend

A few random shots from our weekend in Oklahoma...
Diggin' into Aunt Becky's dress-up box!

The look on Zach's face is priceless!!!

Wyatt and Payton had a great time playing at Aunt Bennie's house!

Praying for our food...Payton loved to pray!

She had so much fun playing with Aunt Becky's dog, Chicco!

Monkey see, monkey do!

Payton decided to kiss Chicco at the same time that Chicco decided to kiss her...resulting in Payton getting a mouthful of Chicco's slobers! I just missed it with the camera!!!

A great "treat" to our cousin Bianca had her baby boy early on Halloween morning! We were so excited to get to see little Kaleb in the hospital!

Payton and I joined some of the young families from the Ochelata church for a hayride and trick-or-treating around town. (Robb had food poisoning, we fun, but short-lived, thank the Lord!) We had a wonderful time, and especially enjoyed the cool fall weather!!! Here area few pictures from the evening.
Miss Piggy had just woken up from a little cat-nap, so it took awhile to get going!

Dafne, my cousin, joined us. Payton LOVED trick-or-treating wtih her!

Payton snuck away and was filling up her bucket with Aunt Becky's candy stash! We put most of it back, since trick-or-treating hadn't officially begun!

I just loved her tail!

The costume came with an adorable piggy hat, but she WOULD NOT wear it, so we settled for bows as ears! Just as well, since I didn't have room to pack the bulky hat anyway!

Wyatt and Payton...a pretty cute pair!

Payton would say, "Treat, treat, treat"!

Thanks, Dafne, for helping her out!

After trick-or-treating, Wyatt and Payton settled in for some good play time at Aunt Becky's house!

Their tails just cracked me up!

Neewollah Parade

Though the circumstances surrounding our trip to the midwest were certainly unpleasant, we were able to enjoy some fun fall real fall weather! On Saturday morning, we joined lots of my family and several friends at a huge 2-hour parade in Independence, Kansas. I grew up going to this parade every Halloween weekend...very much a Kansas tradition! It was SO fun to go back again; brought back lots of great memories! The weather couldn't have been better, the food was as great as I remembered, and the company was just the best! Payton loved it all, of course...almost as much as all the lollipops...apparently her candy of choice!
This was her first lollipop (to my knowledge, anyway!) She loved it!

We joined my cousin, his wife, and two beautiful little girls, Tori and Cera!

Gracie and Darrell Lee Stetler
I was so thrilled that my very dear childhood friend, Liz Stetler, was in town for the weekend. It has been a few years since we've managed to be in the same place at the same time. It was so wonderful to spend just a little time together with Lizzy and her three beautiful children!

Taking it all in!

Labette County High School's Grizzly Marching Band!

My alma mater!

It took Wyatt and Payton a little while to understand that they should pick up the candy thrown at them and put it all in the buckets!

Waving at all the floats passing by!

Lollipop #2...I really am not a bad mother...I promise!

Loving Wyatt's baby blues! What a sweetie! Payton had SO much fun with him all weekend!

Papa's lap=relaxation!

Best place to watch a parade is on Daddy's shoulders!

All tuckered out!

Payton loved waving at all the people passing by!

Payton and Heath Stetler

My friend, Lizzy, and I with our children

I love this girl!
