Visit to the Pumpkin Patch

Today was the most PERFECT day to visit the Pumpkin Patch! The air was nice and cool, but not cold, a gentle breeze was blowing, and were it not for the palm trees, you could almost pretend you were surrounded by autumn-colored leaves up north! Payton and I were accompanied by my sister-in-law Mary, her four children, her sister, Charlene, with her two boys, and another friend, Rebekah Boissevain with her two children, two nephews, and one niece...quite the crew!

They have this pumpkin bounce house for the older children.

Entrance to the "Pumpkin Patch"...starting to be picked over!

From left to right: Connor Owens, Bryce Owens (we feel like they are "cousins"!), Ethan Huff, Michael Huff (holding Payton), Payton Huff, Devin Huff, and Kaitlyn Huff...I was thrilled to get a picture with all of them looking at the same time!

Devin's ready to go play!

My little pumpkin...
She loved "thumping" her hands against the pumpkins!

This is Grace Boissevain sitting in the cart with Payton. Grace is almost exactly a month older than Payton! Neither appear to be starving, huh!

These lovely ladies will be in school together some day! Nice to know Payton will have such a good girl to be friends with!

Kaitlyn is such a great "big cousin" to Payton!

I just LOVE this picture!

One contented baby girl!
Trying to sneak some hay into her mouth...
Payton apparently loves hay...it's organic, right???!!! (just kidding!)

My very sweet little pumpkin!

Payton's 9 Month Pictures

Payton's costume this year is a ladybug!

These are in a "retro" finish, so they look a little funny when we scanned them into the computer...sorry!

Happy 9 Month Birthday, Payton!

This is a day late, but Payton is 9 months old...and loving it! She is crawling EVERYWHERE (military style!) and getting into things that she shouldn't! She jabbers all the time, and has a smile for everyone! She continues to be a happy, contented baby. We are thoroughly enjoying her and love watching her figure out new things. She is having her 9-month pictures taken this weekend, so I'll post those later.

Last weekend, I had the opportunity to go with my parents to Cincinnati to visit my brother, sister-in-law, and two nephews. Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

This was about the only picture I managed to get with all three looking in the same direction! What a riot! Zach is two, Payton is 9 months, and Jake is 5 months...go figure!

I love this...Payton and Jake are both trying to "find" Zach, as he was being so silly!

This was Payton's first experience with the leaves...I don't even want to know how many she swallowed when I wasn't looking!

In the mouth...again!

One evening, we went to Eden Park and snapped a few pictures before it got too dark.

Zach had fallen into a puddle :) and was not really in the mood for a picture, but isn't this sunset beautiful? Zach's expression just cracks me up...this is very typical for him! He is a high-energy little guy who kept us all very entertained!

For example...we got a concert one night! Notice Payton looking on!

Among the new things Zach has learned, he loves to sing. On this evening, he "performed" several songs, including, "Holy, Holy, Holy" (yes, he sings all the words of the first verse!), the "ABC Song", and "Close to You".

My brother-in-law, Ronn, has recently moved to Cincinnati. It was so nice that he was free to join us one evening for dinner. Payton loved her Uncle Ronnie!

This is the way we brush our teeth, brush our teeth, brush our teeth...

I finally remembered to get a little finger toothbrush for Payton. She absolutely loved it, and would have played with it all night!

Who says we don't have seasons in Florida???

I thought I'd share a few pictures of my fall decorations, in hopes that YOU will do the same! I need some new ideas!!!

***Please note the Uppercase Living expression on my door!

Arrangement on the living room coffee table...

On top of my china cabinet...the "Watch for Falling Leaves" is from Uppercase Living. I love these tile expressions, because I can easily store it away for next year, and the tile was only $1.27!

The temperature is a little cooler today, and I'm pretending that it feels like fall! Have a great day everyone!
