Happy 8-month Birthday, Payton!

How is it possible that 8 months have gone by since Payton entered our lives???? We are having SO much fun with her at this stage. She is trying new things every day (even our patience once in awhile...yes, our daughter has a mind of her own...hard to believe with Robb and I as parents...hahahahaha!) She really is a very good baby and so happy. We are so very, very are a few of her 8-month pictures!

(This chair was my mom's when she was little!)

Random Pictures...

Robb and I laughed and laughed...she got herself all rolled up in the quilt I keep out for her to play on...she was hollering like crazy!

So serious!

Lots of red eye, but she doesn't stop to cuddle up very often, so Robb grabbed the camera!

This is how I found Payton this morning! I has a little shocked to find her under the desk! I'm not quite sure how she got there, but apparently didn't mind being stuck! She is rolling EVERYWHERE these days!

Who knew rugs could be so much fun?

I've been trying to get a video clip, but am still unsuccessful. Last Wednesday (during Bible study, of course!) she started saying "Da-Da"! She has said it a couple of times before, but more on "accident". She is very proud of herself, and says it all the time now (just now when I have the camera!) Someday...

My "funny" for the day...

Being a teacher of young children is ALWAYS interesting, and you never quite know what they might say or do. Well, today, I had one of those moments. While giving a voice lesson to a little girl today, she cleverly changed the words to a song we all know well, "America the Beautiful." She started singing, I started playing, then she "sang" the funniest thing: "Oh beautiful, for spacious spies..." I very carefully stopped her and told her it was "spacious skies" and tried very hard not to laugh...and chuckled to myself later!

Installation instructions for Uppercase Living

I have received several comments and e-mails wondering how the Uppercase Living expressions are actually "installed". First, let me say that it is SUPER easy! I did most of mine on my own. Robb did help me with the larger ones; it is easier to have two people holding the sides. Basically, here is how it is done:

1. Prepare your wall or surface (i.e., be sure it is clean!)
2. Rub the front side of the expression (which is covered by a transfer tape) really, really well with the UL tool (or a credit card, driver's license, something like that).
3. Determine and measure exactly how and where you want the expression to go. I found it helpful to hold it up to the wall before doing anything else. I measured from the top of the ceiling to each side, etc., to be sure I had the spot centered, then marked the wall lightly with pencil.
4. Slowly pull the backing off the expression.
5. Put the expression on the wall, and lightly rub it from the center out.
6. Once it is stuck, rub over the top again with the UL tool.
7. Slowly pull the transfer tape off of the expression.
8. TAH-DAH!!!

I have had several people interested in looking at catalogs, hosting "book" parties, etc. Anyone can host a party ANYWHERE! I can mail you everything you need, and you can get free items by hosting, so if you are interested, please let me know! I am trying very hard to reach an incentive by October 29th, so help me out by hosting sooner rather than later!

For more information, please visit my website:
***Note: there is no "www." in front of it!!! There is a link on the sidebar of my blog, also. You can browse through the catalog on my website, or you can login and use the MyDesign Tool to make your own expressions.

Thank you!

Payton's Room

This is Payton's door, with her name and 3 ladybugs in "cherry blossom" pink!

The ladybugs up close...

"With a butterfly kiss and a ladybug hug, sleep tight little one like a bug in a rug."

A little further back...over the changing table. Over her crib is a special prayer with her name that my friend Kelly made for Payton's baby's too special to take down, so I put the Uppercase Living expression over the changing table instead of the crib.

I am LOVING Uppercase Living even more than I thought I would!

My latest Uppercase Living...

Here are a few pictures of some Uppercase Living things I added to my home...

Antique box that holds guest soaps, etc. in the guest bath

My master bathroom...His and Hers mirrors...

My front door...

A little closer up...

One happy little girl!

Just a few fun pictures...enjoy!

After Payton's bath last night...snug as a bug in a rug!

Payton is already fond of her microphone (though it is upside down!)

Last summer fling...

This past weekend we took advantage of the long Labor Day weekend to enjoy a few days in Orlando. It's nice to live in such close driving distance to one of the top vacation spots in the country! I didn't really get very many pictures. I took more video recording than pictures, but here are a few snapshots...

Payton really enjoyed the music and activities of the shows at SeaWorld.

Our little family at SeaWorld.

The large kitchen sink in the condo made a great bathtub! Payton had a blast!

She is rolling all over the place and gets stuck in some rather odd places! This particular coffee table in the condo was particularly exciting for her!

Payton was one happy baby all weekend, and enjoyed all the extra attention from Robb and I, along with my parents!

Splish, Splash, I was takin' a bath...
