Payton's First Birthday Party!!!

Payton is turning ONE!!!! Where did the year go??? Her actual birthday is January 21st, but we had her party this past Saturday. A huge thank you to Rick and Mary for allowing us to have Payton's (very pink and green!) Garden Lunch Party in their lovely, large back yard! We had a wonderful time celebrating this big milestone in Payton's life, surrounded by family and close friends.
It is hard to believe our baby is almost one!
She wasn't quite sure about the grass poking through the blanket!

Beautiful...even when she's serious! (at least we think so!) She fell a few days before her party, and skinned up her nose...go figure, right? It was her first "real boo-boo"!

"So Big"...she always throws up her arms when we say that to her!

Our little family of three...

Posing beside her cake...

We had so much fun planning her party! With our friends children having a wide range of ages, it was interesting! We set up this play yard for the babies...

and I borrowed little tables from a couple different people for the children to sit at. We covered them with paper and had crayons and bubbles for them to play with.

Little buckets held party favors for the girls and boys

The food table...it was all about the "pink" factor!

Robb helped me cover these boxes with fresh moss for the centerpieces. They were supposed to be balloon weights also, but it was SO WINDY! However, we won't complain! It was really a beautiful day!

A little gift table...Payton received so many adorable little gifts!

Rick and Jonathan checking out the food table!

Talitha made all these cupcakes for the party guests, and a special little cake (two-tiered!) for Payton! More on that later... :)

Payton's cake...

Payton LOVES her Nana...and I think the feeling is ver mutual!

My cousin, Bianca, and her little boy Wyatt pose with Payton and I...Payton and Wyatt love playing together! He is SUCH a CUTIE!

Payton's little friend Grace is almost exactly one month older than Payton. I'm sure they will be great friends growing up! (We had a hard time getting everyone with their eyes open...it was so sunny and breezy!)

Payton takes in a little Daddy time!

The party is into full swing...a huge thank you to my husband for climbing in and out of this huge tree to hang the pink lanterns! They had a nice effect for a garden party, but with the wind, it was a little challenging! Thank you, Robb!

Payton's little cousing, Kara, has fun in the play yard! Kara is about three months younger than Payton, and such a little doll baby!

The girls pause from their fun long enough for a picture!

Payton's big cousings, Lauren, Jonathan, and Sarah Capps.

Emily and Karissa smile for the camera.

The Boissevain family...what a great family!

Melissa and Mary chat with people at their table.

Payton gets a little Nana time as she takes her bottle.

Kelly and Talitha...two very dear and wonderful friends...thank you both for helping me make Payton's party special!

Wyatt tries out some animal crackers! We were glad Scott and Bianca could join us!

We had fun teasing Scott about Wyatt's cute pink party hat!

Two of Payton's favorite people...her Nana and Grandpa!

Robin and Rick enjoy some family time.

Robb enjoys a little break after working hard to get things set up! He is such a great husband and Daddy!

The children enjoy their lunch!

And Miss Payton enjoys hers!

My little angel!

This little guy (Zachary Heath) could only handle so much of the girly party! He quickly found his way into the tree! Zachary is one of Payton's favorite little friends!

Isn't this a great picture of Ethan? Payton thinks this silly cousin of hers is hilarious!

Payton does pretty well leaving her bows on, but the feathery party hat was just too much for her! She did not want to leave it on!

We managed a few quick shots, though!

She loved playing with these balloons!

And she LOVED her cake! I think she would have eaten the whole thing if we had let her!

A quick bath in the sink to get all the icing off!...and lot of giggles as Aunt Mary tickled Payton's little squishy buns!

The party continued outside...Kathryn, Chase, and Devin have fun coloring at the tables.

Grace and Payton played together in the ball pit...apparently these taste very good!

Joey joined us a little later for more fun! His mommy and daddy are good friends of Robb and I. Chip is the pastor of the Presbyterian church here in Hobe Sound. I sing there frequently, and we have gotten to be good friends with he and Aimee, his wife. We were glad they could join us for a little bit!

Payton's party wouldn't have been complete without her "Uncle" Jon being there!

A big kiss for Uncle Jon!

Our Birthday Princess!
