FedEx Orange Bowl

New Year's Day and football just go hand in hand...at least for someone in my family! Everyone who knows my husband knows that among his many interests, football is a high priority! So, when we had the opportunity to attend the FedEx Orange Bowl in Miami this year, we jumped at the chance. My brother and his family are living in Cincinnati this year while he does a sports medicine fellowship. Part of his job includes working with the sports teams at the University of Cincinnati. Since UC made it to the Orange Bowl this year, he wanted to be there for the big game, so, we did too! Even though we were not "emotionally" tied to either team, we had a great time! Here are a few pictures of the night...

Robb and I, waiting outside the stadium for the teams to arrive.

The team busses were accompanied by a 16-police escort, made of motorcycles and police cars. It was really amazing to see!

The first UC bus coming through!

Robb and I waiting for the game to begin. Jewelry is never a part of my wardrobe, but it was these lucky UC mardi gras beads were the cheapest UC gear we could buy for the game!

My parents, waiting for the game to begin. The seats around us filled up fast!

The players, warming up

The UC players running out on the field

through a very cool ring of fire...

accompanied by this huge Cincinnati banner
From there, we were too busy watching the game and having fun! No more pictures! It was such a fun experience that we would love to do again sometime!

Wow! I can't believe that you're a MOMMY! Congratulations. She's almost a year old...we are actually all grown up. Crazy!

Hope you're doing great in Florida! You look great! :)
